The Chateau, Valbonne, Moulin Noir, Versailles and Portofino collections are in general made from a medium grade Mahogany timber, sourced from forests which are all part of regeneration programmes. Some of the larger panels in certain items are made from medium density fibreboard to ensure complete stability in all environments. The seven-stage finishing programme includes hand sanding, filling, sealing, painting, distressing, antique ageing and final sealing.
Most of the special techniques come from France and Italy and are replicated from the original methods handed down from Craftsman to Craftsman. Our carvers are amongst the most skilled in this field throughout the world and are only allowed to work on our products, if they can consistently reproduce the required quality of carving on a day to day basis.
